Hytex EP 2 LF is a high performance long-service multi-purpose grease, formulated for use in ball and roller bearings operating under high temperature situations, and offers long-term (lifetime) lubrication under extreme operating conditions. Hytex EP 2 LF is formulated with a mineral base and temperature resistant lithium complex soap thickener in combination with robust extreme pressure additives, anti-wear, anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation stability agents. Hytex EP 2 LF is mechanically stable and well suited to contribute to bearing lubrication under conditions where strong vibrations are present.

Hytex EP 2 LF is used for lubricating machines, units and components which are subjected to high thermal and mechanical loads over a long service life (or lifetime)
Typical applications include: automobile wheel bearings and generators, clutch thrust bearings, brake cylinders, fan bearings, electric motors, kiln cars, rollers in drying plants, paper machines, washing and dishwashing machines, special do-it-yourself machines and household appliances, agricultural applications, among others
Hytex EP 2 LF has been tested in many applications involving extreme pressures, vibrations and impact stress, wet conditions, dust, and the presence of plastic seals. They largely cover the applications of conventional lithium, sodium, and calcium greases, as well as of aluminium and calcium complex greases. Care should be taken when changing the type of grease in application, please contact Chevron for advice
Because Hytex EP 2 LF is an NLGI 2.5 grease, increased efficiency is provided because Hytex EP 2 LF can be used for NLGI 2 applications like Starplex EP 2 or for NLGI 3 applications like Starplex EP 3
