TITAN CARGO 228.61 5W-30

TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30 is an Ultra High Performance engine oil of most advanced technology. It has been specially developed for use in the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle engines OM 470 FE1 and OM 471 FE1 in order to meet the high demands regarding the fuel economy. With TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30 we achieved savings of up to 1.2% compared to the SAE 10W-40 reference oil. By combining selected additives and state-of-the-art base oils, TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30 offers optimum protection against wear despite the reduced high-temperature-high-shear viscosity. It also protects the engine and turbocharger effectively from deposits.

TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30 has been specially developed for the OM 470 FE1 and OM 471 FE1 engines. Due to the reduced HTHS viscosity TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30 may only be used in the engines for which a product according to MB 228.61 / API FA-4 is explicitly approved. It is not backwards compatible to previous specifications. TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30 is miscible and compatible with conventional branded engine oils. However, intermixtures with other engine oils should be avoided in order to fully utilize the product’s benefits. Respectively a complete oil change is recommended when converting to TITAN CARGO 228.61 SAE 5W-30.
